Writing your testimony for a Muslim listener
Your story is one of the most powerful gifts you can offer. Practice telling it briefly, honestly, and in a way that lands for a Muslim friend.
Starting prompt
What is the single change Jesus has made in your life that a Muslim friend could feel even before they understood it?
Practical disciplines
- Write a 90-second version of how you came to follow Jesus. Time yourself. Cut the parts that confuse a non-Christian listener.
- Anchor your testimony in one specific change Jesus made — forgiveness, peace, hope, identity.
- Avoid Christianese that requires translation: 'born again,' 'walked the aisle,' 'asked Jesus into my heart.' Translate before you tell.
- Read your testimony to a Christian friend who has worked with Muslims. Ask them what would land and what would not.
